Tonight's soundtrack provided by PJ Harvey

What were you wanting?

I just want to say

Don't ever change

And thank you

I don't think we will meet again

I really must leave now

Before the sunrise

Above skyscrapers

The sin and

This mess we're in

is it just me, or did anyone else find "stories..." a bit spooky after sept 11? there just seemed to be a lot of weird foreshadowing . . . esp on 'kamikaze' . . . and from 'this mess we're in,' lines like: "the helicopters are in new york, no need for words now..." and etc . . . i'm surprised the neo-gestapo hasn't questioned PJ!

Hollis says:

I've thought that too, Courtney. The obvious lyrics, "I'm in NY... before the sun rises over the skyscrapers and the city landscape comes into view...no need for words now...this mess we're in," and PJ and Thom's dreamy voices.

But so many albums carry a new meaning for me. U2s "All That You Can't Leave Behind" is one example that stands out from my collection.

My mom was a senior in H.S. when JFK was assassinated, and shortly afterwards his brother Robert. She said that was the saddest time of her life.
