I went to the countryside this weekend to get away from the City to do my studies, and it worked wonders, no distractions. The nice sun, locals and a bunch of albums to entertain me.
On the way there and back, in the car I listened to a double tape pack of the comedian Billy Connolly, called 'Two Night Stand' - it's absolutly halarious, one of the best comedians I've ever come across. You've got to hear the bit about the posh dinner party he went to, with the guy who was a 'tobogganist' for a living. :)
I also picked up a tape for £1.25 from a charity shop in the very nice town of Evasham which was The Best of The Ink Spots, 20 tracks - one of my favourites must be 'Ev'ry Night About This Time'. Remind me of a snowy scene at the end of a movie with a nice ending, or a 30's style bar with guys in hats smoking cigars with a whiskey on the side. |
