It's definitely Monday, for sure

Well, Mondays suck, and today was no exception.

After a long day at work, I walk out to my car to go home and notice someone hit "Black " right on her left back fender. Fortunately, the only damage appears to be large scratches. I was pissed, as you can imagine and the person who violated my car like this was nowhere to be found. "Great," I thought, "a hit and run in a damn parking lot!" I walked around and examined the other cars nearby and couldn't find the guilty vehicle. Then I see this woman running over towards me with a security guard apologizing for hitting me. It turns out, this woman was trying to pull in to the parking space next to me but because the parking spaces are too small (what were they thinking?), she misjudge the angle she drove her pickup truck and it hit my car. She apologized and I was relieved that she came forward. I wasn't mad... slightly irritated, maybe... but not mad. These things happen... We sat there cause the security guard called the police and we had to wait to they arrived. About 15 minutes later, she gave me her insurance info and the policeman wrote up a report and I was on my way back home. I was lucky the policeman didn't realize that my license plates had expired last month... hehe....

So, then I get home and check the huge amount of email I receive on a daily basis about Radiohead (you know, questions like "when is Radiohead coming to Indiana" and stuff like that... heh) and I get an email from a lawyer who claims that her law firm has been receiving hundreds of emails from greenplastic.com containing the nimda virus. I could tell she was really pissed by the way she wrote the email. I emailed her back to get more specifics and she told me to call her which I did. Turns out she doesn't know much about computers so she couldn't give me a lot of info about what is happening. She told me to speak with a guy named Bill, which I haven't heard back from yet.

Okay, first of all... greenplastic.com is hosted on a unix server so it cannot be infected by the nimda virus. Second of all, I'm on a Mac running OS X so the emails did not come from me. It will be interesting to get the IP address of the emails sent that apparently destroyed a lot of "important law documents." Regardless, she was not happy and I was just waiting for her to say "legal action" but she didn't, thank god. She actually calmed down by the end of the phone call. Now I just need to find out what is going on...

sheesh

This has nothing to do with the aforementioned parking lot incident, Radiohead, or anything else remotely relevant, so if you're busy or just skeptical, read something else:

Persons A& B move in together. They settle damage deposits and first and last, etc. Person B's spouse returns from a trip and is invited to stay as a guest. After a while, things are going so well that Spouse is invited to stay permanently. Spouse wants everyone to benefit from this joyous event, so Spouse offers to split rent three ways instead of just paying half of one room as is Spouse's acknowledged right.

Come moving out time, Person A demands (from Spouse) the difference between the last month's rent (settled long before Spouse came on the scene) and the three way split everyone had gotten used to paying. Person A feels this is only fair and presupposes payment. Spouse says, "I'll think about it". Who, if anybody, is being a bitch?

p.s. Springtime is a happy time and Chart No. 3's header page reflects that. Therefore, Chart No. 3.'s header page must be happy?

I've become one of those people. You know, like the lady that hit you today. Last MONDAY, a four-foot circular piece of plywood flew out of the bed of my truck and gracefully dodged LA rush-hour traffic, slightly knicking the newest SUV on the street. Luckily, no one got hurt. But as I said, I instantly became one of THOSE people. I tied everything down fine; I even triple checked to make sure--it was just one of those days. Trust me, I'm the first one to admit that things could have been much worse. I just feel horrible for the guy. I remember being upset at a car ahead of me when a cardboard box flew from the bed of their truck. Once you're on the other side, you realize how easy it is for accidents to happen. I'm starting to rethink the concept of "the shell" or those tarp thingys. We'll see. :) Happy Tuesday.
