Movies

Went and saw Panic Room today and I have mixed feelings about it. I was kind of let down by David Fincher, and the character development in the movie was lacking. Jodie Foster did a great job but unfortunately, her supporting cast (aside from Forrest Whittaker - he always rocks) did not hold up on their end, in my opinion. Other than that, the camera work was spectacular! Was it as good as Fight Club or Se7en? Nope... ;)

When I came home, I was thrilled to see AMC showing the Omen trilogy! It's been years since I've seen these movies so I had no problem deciding that I was going to stay home and watch them instead of going out for the night... It's kind of a toss up as to which one is my favorite... It's either the first or the second ones. The Omen movies are my idea of how horror/thriller movies should be. Sure, they're not the bloodiest, but you don't always need blood and guts to freak you out. For example, the closing shot where young Damien is attending his father's funeral (gotta love Gregory Peck!) and he is standing between the President and the First Lady and he turns around and looks right at the camera and just grins... woah! Hehe... Talk about freaky!
