Touching...

I was really touched yesterday while watching TV and seeing what was going on in London...

Having been born in England, and having dual citizenship with the UK and the USA, I was extremely touched when I saw an unprecedented thing occur in London yesterday. During the regular changing of the guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace, they played the US National Anthem which was then followed by a two minute moment of silence. As far as I know, the US National Anthem has never been played at the changing of the guard and it touched me deeply... especially seeing all of the British people crying with American flags in their hands.

I am proud of being American... I am also very proud to be British.

I can only hope that this tragedy will be dealt with without any violence or bloodshed.

I was also touched by this, because, as you said, they don't do things out of the ordinary during the changing of the guard. it is very traditional and regimented, and when i saw that it made me cry. very thoughtful.
