But what can you do?
I'm actually happy with this design but I know that after awhile, I'll grow tired of it and want to change it. Hopefully that'll be a while! So it's Monday and as usual, I've been checking every Job search site on the Internet to see if any new jobs have opened up. No. I have been busy designing Web sites for two different clients and I have another lined up, I think. I hate doing this stuff on my own... I'm not a businessman at all! Plus, I like to have job security. So, I'm stuck here in Nashville, TN and am really hopefull that I can get back to San Francisco soon. It was just too expensive to live there and everyone I knew was getting pink slips.
So, if anyone out there knows of any Web Designer job openings anywhere (I'm willing to relocate!), please let me know!
Okay, enough of that.
Currently Listening to: Lali Puna - Tridecoder
I learned of Lali Puna after reading some interviews with Colin Greenwood in which he talked highly of them. I agree, they are a great band. Here's a little bio thing on them:
The German scene is definitely full of surprises. The latest is Lali Puna, a band from Munich consisting of members of Console and Notwist and led by the singer Valérie Trebeljahr. Elegant and sober are probably the most appropriate words to describe their melodic and exciting pop, tinged with electronic, complex but forthright at the same time, reminiscent of Stereolab's experimentations. Signed by the fascinating and innovative label Morr Music, Lali Puna is a band whose strong musical aestheticism creates the perfect fusion between pop and electro. Besides this fact didn't go unnoticed for the members of Radiohead who recently said that Tridecoder was one of their favourite albums of the moment. |
