I recall that you were there

Can you believe that it's almost February? I certainly cannot.

So anyway, things around here have been calm. Earlier in the week the weather was wicked cold and we had more snow on Thursday. They're calling for more tomorrow but will probably not amount to much. You see, here in Nashville, we don't really see that much snow so this Winter has been unusual. Not only that, but it really doesn't get this cold either. The high the other day was like 12 degrees! Next week will be warmer, fortunately. I write this while humming "California Dreamin'" and looking at exotic islands on TV. (sigh)

So 2003 will be the year that I finally stop procastinating and make the move back to California. It will happen... Mark my words here.

My brother Matt, who is in the Navy, emailed us saying that they recently left Turkey. Unfortunately, it looks as if he is getting closer to Iraq. I can only hope that a war is avoided.

Meanwhile, I've been trying to score tickets to the Coldplay concert here in Nashville on March 7th but they sold out like in 30 minutes the day they went on sale! What is that? March is going to be the month of great concerts! In addition to Coldplay, on March 8th I'm headed down to Athens, GA to see Godspeed You Black Emperor at the 40 Watt and then, of course, on March 26 will be Sigur Ros. I was really really really disappointed to find out that I missed the Swords Project when they visited Nashville last month. How could I miss that? I'm slipping in my old age.

Well, it's almost 3 am. I think I may try and go to sleep. The bright side of insomnia indeed...

Damn.
Why do i live in Argentina?
I will never see that bands live.
On the other hand, hopesfully, maybe no one else but BUsh would want a war. Lets pray for peace always.

Coldplay will be here in Denver a week from Thursday and I can hardly contain myself. I saw them at a really small venue last summer in Boulder and they put on the best shows. Hopefully I wont have any problems sneaking in the Mini Disc and digicam again to this show...

Jonathon-
My best wishes on you making it back to Cali this year. I would love to live there, but unfortunately I have a job that I ACTUALLY like in Houston and have absolutely no plans of relocating til I retire! Ahhhh to be in San Diego right now, I'd give my left arm.......
