So I finally got to see The Royal Tenenbaums today as it was just released to theaters in my area. All I have to say is that I loved it. I've said it before, Wes Anderson is a brilliant director with a way of telling stories that is rare with other directors out there. All of Anderson's films, especially this one, have so much hidden detail and so many interesting tid bits behind the scenes that don't really mean much, but offer you a look into Anderson's head to see the way he works. Gene Hackman's performance was awesome, as was, of course, Owen Wilson's (Eli) and his brother, Luke Wilson's (Richie). I only wish Bill Murray had a stronger role but hey, that's okay.
