Kill the pop-up

Do you hate pop-up ads as much as I do? Well, I just found this gem of a site that gives you opt-out links for most of the major online advertisers. Sweeeeeeet!

If you don't ask me out to dinner, I don't eat

I just finished watching Startup.com on DVD that I rented from the folks at Blockbuster. It brought me back to the wacky days (seems so long ago, but wasn't) of the dot.com goldrush and companies not making one cent and living entirely off of capital raised. All in all, a great documentary.

I purchase the new Chemical Brothers CD yesterday and haven't really given it a real listen yet. From what I've hear, I like. Also picked up Bent's Programmed to Love which I absolutely love!

hahaha

I figured out why people were finding my site by searching for "slutwives" on google... A post I made back in November is the reason. ;)

Odd

I was just checking over the site stats for Chart Nš 3 and it appears that 83 people have gotten here by typing in "slutwives" in their search engine like google, yahoo, etc...

Huh?

Boooby traps

Didn't do much today, which was actually kind of nice. Just lounged around watched basketball on TV. I also uploaded a new gallery of the photos I took yesterday around town. I hope you like!

I picked up the Silver Mount Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band's new CD yesterday and really like it. It's mostly band members from Godspeed You Black Emperor! so if you like them, you'll like Sliver Mount Zion. Check 'em out!

Now, Goonies is on TV and it's been ages since I've seen it.

Ciao!

Like a Friend

You are the last drink I never should have drunk

You are the body hidden in the trunk

You are the habit I can't seem to kick

You are my secrets on the front page every week

You are the car I never should have bought

You are the train I never should have caught

You are the cut that makes me hide my face

You are the party that makes me feel my age

Like a car crash I can see but I just can't avoid

Like a plane I've been told I never should board

Like a film that's so bad but I've got to stay till the end

Let me tell you now: it's lucky for you that we're friends.

A Stool Sample

Here's a pic of the Radiohead stool that was in a big box that arrived at my house last Summer. I don't know exactly why they were made but it does make a handy place to put my laptop or my TV dinner on. Don't ask me how to get one cause I really don't know...

So I'm a Radiohead fan

Obviously. :)

You may have noticed that the top of this page has changed slightly. I decided to make it fit more in with the overall design of the site.

I took a lot of photos today while out driving around. Hopefully they'll be up by tomorrow.

Following

Last night I watched Following, the debut movie by Christopher Nolan who later went on to direct Memento. Very good... very good indeed. It's not as visually appealing as Memento (the film was shot in black & white, which isn't a bad thing btw), but definitely does keep you interested in the twisted plot. If you got some time on your hands, why don't you go and rent it?

Temptation

There are times, especially when the sun is setting in the West, when I'm out running errands or possibly meeting up with a friend, that I have this tremendous urge to hop on Interstate 40 and go towards that sunset. I know that I could make it to Needles, California in two days and then begin my journey up North towards the Bay. I have my atlas on the back seat and I am ready.

We'll see...

Earlier tonight I did a phone interview with someone from Spin magazine who is interviewing some unofficial fan site webmasters about their experiences and stuff. This is the second time I've been interviewed by Spin and was kinda weary about doing it again cause I don't want to come off as an fruitcake as I feel I did back in the August issue. The interview went well and we talked for about 45 minutes about the history of Green Plastic and what it was like to meet Radiohead last August. He asked so many questions and I talked so much that I can't even remember what I said! I hope they don't butcher it up or anything! Anyway, he said that as of now, the feature will appear in the April issue of Spin but that could change. We'll see....

The Royal Tenenbaums

So I finally got to see The Royal Tenenbaums today as it was just released to theaters in my area. All I have to say is that I loved it. I've said it before, Wes Anderson is a brilliant director with a way of telling stories that is rare with other directors out there. All of Anderson's films, especially this one, have so much hidden detail and so many interesting tid bits behind the scenes that don't really mean much, but offer you a look into Anderson's head to see the way he works. Gene Hackman's performance was awesome, as was, of course, Owen Wilson's (Eli) and his brother, Luke Wilson's (Richie). I only wish Bill Murray had a stronger role but hey, that's okay.

If you haven't seen this movie, please go and see it today!

Jason Lee rocks

Your friends would describe you as a true blue pal, but sometimes you just don't know when to let things go. You have a few problems when it comes to letting your true feelings out into the open, and that can cause permanent hardships for you. Other than that, you're a great person to be around. Your jokes are crude, you have a big porn collection, what more could anyone ask for?

A little bit of history

I usually check Google Groups each day for various topics and today I noticed that they have usenet newsgroup messages archived from the past 20 years! If you go here you can read a lot of the older usenet messages.

Enjoy!

Last flowers till the hospital...

Well, I spent the whole day at the hospital today because my mother had an appointment and it took all day. Fortunately, she's okay but is still a little sick so I went and picked up a baked potato for her at Wendy's.

I got an email from someone who works at Spin magazine who is looking for fan-site webmasters to interview for an upcoming issue. I told him I was game so this will be the second interview with Spin magazine I've done this year... hehehe.... I know, I know... anything to boost my ego, right?

In the mood...

You may notice that Chart Nš 3 looks a little different, unless this is your first time here...

I've been feeling a little creative and thought I would redo the site since I was tired of the last design, even though that one was new too! Hehe... I get bored really fast. Some things are still not finished and I would finish them right now but I really need to get out of the house before I go insane.

Oh, have you seen the new iMac from Apple? I actually like it, even though it could pass as a lamp. They also updated the iBook with a larger screen but I'm not sad... I still love mine!

More later...

Last night...

You know it was a great last night cause I got to go to my favorite restaurant in the whole world, Rotiers. If you're ever Nashville, head on down to the Vanderbilt area and treat yourself to the best ever cheeseburgers and milkshakes... you won't regret it. Here are some s (click to enlarge):

My brother, Matt

After a fine meal, I went with my brother Matt to meet up with some friends I hadn't seen since high school. It's been like 5 years since I've seen these people! We had fun bowling and just hanging out, which is what I needed after this crazy week.

Here we go

Here I go, starting a new year and wondering where I'll be one year from now.

My new year's was pretty eventful, but I won't get into that right now.

I got two new CDs: Zero 7's Simple Things and Outrospective by Faithless.
